Photon-X seeks a qualified candidate for the position of business development/government proposal writer. Please note that candidates must be U.S. Citizens as the work may entail obtaining a security clearance at some point. The successful candidate will be a quick-thinking strategist with excellent process and project management skills, a highly professional demeanor and the ability to collaborate closely and effectively with subject matter experts, senior staff and other team members while managing multiple and complex proposals concurrently.



Primary Responsibilities

  • * Produce complete, responsive Request for Proposals and Quotes (RFPs and RFQs), meeting deadlines and working with the team to understand customers’ needs and the Company’s capabilities.
  • * Respond to government RFPs and RFQs and government inquiries on company capabilities.
  • * Write (original text) and edit materials for proposals, reports, briefs, web content and press releases.
  • * Edit, standardize, brand, or make changes to material prepared by other team members.

Qualifications
  • * Strong written and verbal communications.
  • * Broad thinker who can conceptualize ideas and develop written narrative that supports strategy.
  • * Ability to comprehend, interpret and communicate various types of market information and statistics in a meaningful way.
  • * Strong computer skills: Microsoft Office Suite required, Illustrator and Photoshop a plus.

 

Experience and Education
  • * Bachelor’s degree required, advanced degree in a scientific discipline preferred.
  • * 5-10 years experience in government proposal development and delivery.
